Standing Tall Again: Preserving and Restoring Our Historic Waterford Union of Churches Cemetery

A long-term restoration of the Waterford Union of Churches Cemetery has been completed! Come on out on Sunday August 30th for a discussion about the restoration and what it takes to preserve a cemetery followed by a walkthrough of the restoration by Howard Wellman of Wellman Conservation. Howard is an objects conservator specializing in historic cemetery monuments, outdoor sculptures, and public art who completed the much needed restoration work at the Waterford Union of Churches Cemetery on Fairfax St. in Waterford.

This talk is hosted by the Waterford Foundation Education Committee. The talk will happen at the Waterford Old School (40222 Fairfax Street, Waterford VA), followed by a quick walk over to the Waterford Union of Churches Cemetery.
